This is a gravel-based forest road that leads from the Camp Sherman area to the Suttle Lake area. The trail is wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass, and is bumpy with extreme washboard and has many deep potholes to avoid. The trail passes through a small piece of private property along the way, but camping is allowed along all of the trail except for the private section. You will enjoy forested views, and this is a good trail to lead you into the network of trails around all the lakes in the area. Overall, this is an easy trail suitable for any vehicle type, but there are no amenities and weak cell phone coverage along the trail. The nearest services are approximately 15-20 minutes away in Sisters, Oregon.
