Trail Overview
This is a narrow, one-vehicle-wide forest road with places to pass. The trail has some two-track sections and overgrown vegetation that may end up giving you some pinstripes. There is loose rock on the trail, as well as boulders sticking out of the ground up to a foot tall. The trail is extremely dusty in dry conditions, and could be driven in most vehicle types if you avoid the rocks, but high clearance 4x4 is recommended. The trail winds along the top of Green Ridge, and camping is allowed with multiple pre-existing campsites. You will have a view of the surrounding peaks in places, as well as dense forest and then open meadow areas. There are no amenities on the trail, and cell phone service is weak. The nearest services and supplies can be found in the town of Sisters, approximately 30 minutes away.
