Trail Overview

This route will lead you from Bennett Pass down into Badger Lake. After leaving Bennett Pass Road, you will be heading down a fairly steep grade on Forest Road 140. The road is a single track with some tight spaces that could pin stripe full-size rigs. Most high clearance vehicles will be able to take this route. You will have some outstanding views of the surrounding mountains, and Badger Lake is amazing. There are about half a dozen dedicated spaces for vehicle camping and a few other walk-in sites.

Difficulty

Rated a 4 due to cliffside driving, fairly rough sections on the road and potential water crossings during certain times of the year.
