Trail Overview
The route moves between wide-open forest, deeper, darker sections, lush green vegetation, and logged areas. The road surface consists of well-maintained gray-brown dirt and gravel, making for a beautiful drive through the area. The trail ends where a sand berm blocks the road and prevents further travel. A couple of areas along the route are suitable for dispersed camping. Numerous signs of bear activity, including a significant amount of bear scat, were observed, so please be cautious. Grouse are also present, which may interest hunters. This area is open year-round on gravel roads. However, travel on dirt roads is restricted during wet conditions, which typically occur from October 1. OHV use is prohibited where vegetation is present on the road during fire season, typically June through October. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
