Trail Overview
This is a short dirt bike trail that accesses the moderate single-track 108. It starts off the road with a very rutted climb. It’s difficult for dirt bikes because two deep ruts are running parallel to each other, making it difficult for dirt bikes to pick a high point or get stuck in the ruts. It continues as a very steep climb full of small loose rocks, cutting straight up the hillside. It’s wide for dirt bikes, so it helps to pick a good line. It ends after a quarter mile on the 108 single-track. If riders take this trail to access the 108 singletrack, they’ll skip most of the hardest obstacles on 108. This trail allows two-way traffic, so it can also be used as a bailout from the single track.
Difficulty
This is a moderate dirt bike trail because the entire route is a steep, loose, and rutted climb, gaining 250 feet of elevation in a quarter mile. There are deep ruts on the south end. There are no major rock obstacles. This is rated by the Forest Service as Most Difficult within the trail system.
