Trail Overview
This SxS trail starts on FS Road 1928708 with a steep and loose climb up from the road on 108B. It passes the intersection with the dirt bike trail and keeps climbing on 108. The climb is steep, with bigger, loose rolling rocks, shallow ruts, and some bigger roots across the trail. The trail is trenched out below the forest floor with some flat slab rock at one point. It keeps traversing around the hillside, and there are a few small logs down, up high over the trail that will need to be cut in order for SxSs to pass through, as the logs affect the overhead clearance. At one point, it becomes deeply rutted on one side, where SxSs will have to straddle the rut, and it is trenched out in a V shape below the forest floor. It continues climbing with some bigger embedded rocks in the trail. After 2.1 miles, it steeply descends to the intersection with Trail 107.
Difficulty
This is a moderate SxS trail as it is constantly steep and rutted. There are steep and loose hills both up and down, with trenched out sections and roots. There a few logs affecting overhead clearance, but these will likely get cut. The main technical factor is the steep grade. This is rated as Most Difficult within the trail system by the Forest Service.
