Trail Overview
This is a .8 mile long section of Trail 107 that descends from its intersection with Trail 108 to connect to Trail 304. The entire .8 miles is a steep descent. It is wide through the trees, but it is covered in a light layer of small loose rocks that add a technical element. There are shallow ruts and a couple of bigger embedded rock faces. The trail also makes a couple of sharper hairpin turns as it descends the mountain. This section is slightly more difficult than the northern section of Trail 107. It is accessed by taking FS roads 1928706 and 1928708 for 2 miles from the end of the previous section of Trail 107. Follow signs for 107 on the road portion of the trail to get here. This trail is directional east to west, and should only be ridden in the downhill direction.
Difficulty
This is an intermediate section of the trail due to the steep descent that is full of small, loose rocks and ruts. It is ideal for drivers with intermediate experience. It is not quite as technical as the nearby Trail 108. This is rated by the Forest Service as Moderate within the trail system.
