Trail Overview

Upon arrival at Farrior Farm Road, you will be greeted by the Croatan National Forest sign with a noticeably smooth gravel terrain. Approximately 0.5 mile on the left, the Southern New Bern Depot, which is managed by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, will be located here. Going forward, the trail provides more than enough room for most vehicles to pass by with ease and no signs of any obstructions or blockage in the road. Towards the end, you will stumble upon Brice's Creek recreational area, which has public restrooms, public parking, and a boat ramp that is accessible for daily use.

Difficulty

This flat, well-maintained gravel road is easy to travel on due to its gentle grade and relatively smooth surface. With no significant hills or challenging terrain, it provides a comfortable route for walking, biking, and other recreational activities. Be cautious and aware of occasional oncoming traffic, which may include trucks towing boats from the Brices Creek Access area.
