Trail Overview
This short ATV trail starts on the west end at a dispersed campsite in the forest, just off of Horse Canyon (FS 157). It follows the powerlines east on a dirt two-track across grassy meadows, between a scenic and grassy forest of ponderosa pines. The track is rutted in spots, but is wide and easy to follow, as it stays under the powerlines for most of the route. There are only a couple of spots with more loose or embedded rock, but mostly it’s smooth and obstacle-free. It comes up to a fence, and stays on the left side of the fence, going through a gate, and popping out at the Clear Creek Picnic Site. The trail is entirely unmarked, but the gate is only wide enough for a 50-inch ATV. The trail is just under a mile long and is likely used by people walking from the picnic site as well.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail, as it is mostly a smooth dirt two-track with shallow ruts, with very little elevation change. It is easy to follow and ideal for newer riders.
