Trail Overview

This trail is intermittently gated and closed on the west side. Check to make sure the route is open. It travels along the underground natural gas pipeline that connects Cuba with Los Alamos. Huge behemoth volcanic rocks guide the way through ponderosa pine, white, and Douglas fir forests and aspen stands. On some maps, the numbers are transposed on this trail, and it is listed as FR 257.
