Trail Overview

The trailhead for the Two Towers Loop is accessed from Reed Rd. You will see wild animals from the adjacent Six Flags safari park. Once you turn onto the trails you will be on soft Pine Barren sand and dirt. This terrain varies with the seasons-deep in the summer, loose in the fall and firm in spring, after the rains. The trail has undulating whoops that may have standing water, depending on the season. The trail will lead to two separate easy hill climbs with steep rocky sections. There are some more intermediate routes that you can bypass. After the hill climbs there is a tighter, more technical trail that leads to a beautiful view over a marsh. Continue on and you will be back on the entrance of the loop.

Difficulty

Depending on the season, there will be standing water in depressions. There are sections with steep hill climbs including rocks on the trail and often logs. The sand will be soft and deep, with washes in the turns during the summer months. After rain, there will be sections with standing water.

Early weekday morning so it was really nice and quiet. I didn’t see or hear anyone for the two hours I was in there. Really fun trail! Not hard unless you really get crazy and veer off the main trail. Some dried up marshes with low tree stumps that can get stuck on your underbody if you not careful. Other than that tho the trail was fun and safe for beginners and offers enough room at times to whip your rig around in the dirt and sand. Cool hill feature toward the end of the trail that’s easy to navigate. Trail gets pretty narrow at times and I picked up some pinstripes along the way but i was able to get through the whole thing with a full size truck. I live in NY about an hour and a half away from the trail and it was definitely worth the trip. Next time I’ll take my kids and I’ll try a little harder to find the animals from the six flags safari they talk about.

We were pulled over by the police wild life enforcement and they gave a ticket to dirt bikes and ATV for riding in the main road. And I didn’t now we couldn’t go into to the trails lol so confusing. They have miles and miles of trails and we can’t go.

Snow was fine our crew was pushing through, but there were a lot of downed pine trees. We cut some out of the way but most of the trails have them. If you go out bring a chainsaw or something to cut.

Trail was mostly snow covered but still manageable. Some wet muddy areas. Was definitely a good time and worth the ride. Rocky hill areas were definitely fun

Great trail. It was just us for hours and on the way out we came across a group of about 8+. Mostly sand and gravel and some muddy areas. Puddles were not deep and easy to navigate. Parts of the trail can get narrow but luckily no pin striping. The end with the hills and small rock climb were the most fun. My son and I spent an hour plus there going up and down each track. Hope you all enjoy as this is one of the better trails in the area!

Some mud holes and mud filled ruts of unknown depth. Most have bypasses or can be skirted around. Did not attempt to check depth due to icy conditions so stayed out of the water. Clearance between trees is quite narrow in some bypasses. Passable for mid-size vehicles but likely too narrow for full-size trucks. Mud holes and narrow passage between trees is the biggest challenge here. Saw a couple other vehicles but did not have to pass on the trail, which would have required backing.

Trail was great! Dry conditions with a few mud pools that had bypasses, nothing a good AWD or 4x4 couldn't get through. Lots of sand built up, especially at intersections but drivable. The small technical rock climbs (not pictured) are a bit damp but have good lines, was even able to get up with my FWD 1st gen Highlander (with good tires) and only bottomed out once! With no rain, trail should be very doable for even normal SUVs for awhile!

Trail was mostly dry and in great condition and relatively easy, making it great for new and inexperienced drivers. The trail has a little bit of everything. Start with some narrow bumpy gravel, then small area with loose sand to throw your ride around, then rocky incline climbs, then finally we muddy area that aren’t too deep. There was one bit deeper wet mud patch with area to go around; I would avoid if you’re alone or don’t have the means to get out if stuck. Lots of dirt bikers around but didn’t see any trucks running the trail.
