Trail Overview

Success Road winds through the Collier Mills Wildlife Management Area. It's a dirt road, about two vehicles wide, that receives occasional maintenance before hunting seasons. The road transitions to sand with some deep patches and potential for water pooling, offering the first view of Success Lake. It opens up to a large field where the road becomes sandy, with areas with deep sand.

Difficulty

The main portion of Success Road is a two-vehicle-wide dirt road with a few patches of deeper sand that can generally be avoided. It is passable by a standard AWD vehicle with moderate ground clearance. In dry conditions, AWD and moderate ground clearance should be sufficient for safe passage.

Very dry right now! Extremely dusty. Looked like the state had been through grading the entire roadway.

Did this trail 11/15. I am driving on stock 22in wheels and tires. I didn’t air down for the sandy sections. The trail was dry thru out. There is deep sand sections near the lake and especially the wide open area next to the lake is all sand ( deep sand). I believe it could be difficult if it rains

Very nice and easy trail. The loose sand areas were just perfect. Some many other small trails to explore adjacent to the main road.

No pictures unfortunately — was just out to enjoy the drive, which is amazing. One of the best trails (with fun side routes) I’ve done in a while. Did it in my Silverado and had to engage 4hi in some places, but mostly did it in 2wd. If you take a side route, make sure you have 4LO or you will be calling for help.
