Winters Creek Road - FS 56156

Winters Creek Road is par for the course regarding trails in this region. The main center section of the road is heavily traveled and serves as a primary access route. However, the "wings" on both ends that extend past the main connector trails are untraveled and heavily overgrown. To explore past these connector points, travelers will likely need to proceed on foot, use an ATV, or stop and turn around. The drive is scenic, largely consisting of a path cutting through tall grasses that surround the vehicle on both sides, punctuated by the occasional pop of sagebrush. Do not attempt to push a full-sized 4x4 vehicle through the overgrown "wings" at the ends of the trail. Stick to the heavily traveled center section to avoid trail damage, getting stuck, or causing severe damage to your vehicle. You are traveling through active grazing land.
