Trail Overview

The Potosi Tower Road is a 14.6 out and back trail that goes to a great overlook of the Las Vegas Strip and Potosi Mountain. Built as a service road for the multiple communication towers on the ridge line, this trail is suitable for any 4WD vehicles. Many switchbacks and sweeping views of the high dessert and Las Vegas makes this an enjoyable ride.

Smooth and dusty on lower elevation. As you climb it gets more rough and may require 4WD. My buddy was fine in 2WD in a pretty stock Silverado. Some bends are a little rocky and steep. Overall no issues and great trail with awesome views!

No obstacles. Several hairpin blind corners otherwise very easy trail. Little bit of washboarding at the base of the trail. View up top is amazing. If your afraid of heights, this might not be for you.

Hard packed, washboarded, and wide in the valley, but trail narrows as you climb for the final 2-3 miles. Large, loose rocks and some sand can make some parts tricky. Would not attempt the final climb without 4 wheel drive, especially for some of the steep hairpin turns.
