Trail Overview

7.5 miles of sandy bottom and high bank turns, the path is constantly changing with the rigs, wind, and rain it sees. Run it at speed or just cruse through and enjoy the scenery. One of the most fun rides in Mesquite from Oasis Blvd to the police academy just North of town.

While most of the wash is open new construction on the south side has reduced access to it. The north side has a cable at the change to city property clearly saying Police Range, no trespassing with the applicable ARS listed. All around this north area is a huge solar farm not shown on the map and many of the trails seen on satellite view no longer exist.

The new construction by the firing range has the wash filled partially in above the range and the sandhill to get by the power station and back on the trail is marked "no trespassing". You'll have to trespass or turn around at that point.

The solar farm going in by the Police shooting range and dump are closing some trails. They are putting in miles of fencing all around the area. As we came out of the wash by shooting range, we came up to this fence line. We were able to follow the fence for a short distance and make it to the road. Not sure if we were legal there as there is a bunch of private property signs all around there.

All of the muddy spots from past rains where dried up. There was a lot of tumble weeds in the wash from all of the high winds the last two days.

Several wash outs. Having to go around to higher ground. About 1/2 through the wash is at least 2 feet deep of standing water. No way to get around. We were alone so we chose not to attempt it without something to winch to. Might have dried up some by now.

Trail is a fun ride. Tight in places, only room for 1 buggy! Beware tho towards the end, there is a shooting range owned by the city. It is private property and we were stopped and told to move on. They were getting ready to target practice. it is marked as well in the wash. Suggest turning off before the end and go to Stateline road. Or turn around and go back to town.

Easy trail for a Wrangler. Not so easy for the Raptor we had with us. Turned around due to very tight paths for a full size truck.
