Trail Overview

This section is the more technical section of the ride from Logandale to Lake Mead. It is a little over 6 miles long, but the average speed will be low. It follows several sandy/rocky washes along steep canyon walls. A few sections are tight, but full-size and 4-seat vehicles will make it through with a little navigating around obstacles. There are a few steep climbs and descents, but nothing I would rate higher than mid- to upper intermediate.

The Trail was SUPER FUN! However. We just experienced really hard rains in the area and the trail is now 100% a wash the entire way! Actually made it super fun. However, much longer than we expected. One Full size Bronco Sasquatched and one RIVIAN RS1 Offroad edition (That kicked major but!!! ) Both of us made it ok, but there are spots to spot each other over technical sections. Although the more slightly expert obsticals, are very few and most are at the upper range of moderate. The Rivian actually had MORE ground clearance than the Bronco but less knobby offroad tires and it still made it fine. The extra challenge of the newly roughened conditions made it really fun. BUT MADE FOR A LONG DAY. Started on Dirt around 10am, aired back up around 3:45pm. Definitely TIGHT TURNS AND TIGHT CANYONS but they are passable with good navigation skills.

This trail is more difficult than the pictures show, and the description gives. I drive a stock Tacoma and a 5 should be a breeze for this truck. Still, the truck had to work hard to navigate around several obstacles. Even got high centered at one point. Large boulders, deep v notch ditch crossings, tight turns, and steep downhills abound on this trail. Unless you have large tires, sliders, aftermarket bumpers etc., expect some serious underbody scraping and plan on dragging your rear bumper. Take time to plan your line. Took us nearly 3 hours to complete (minus the time to get unstuck the one time). Fun, challenging trail, just wanted to add my two cents in helping prepare people for what's ahead. This trail should be ranked as a difficult 6, maybe even a 7 just because of the obstacles encountered.

Ran south to north from Weiser Valley trail back to I-15. A couple spots were a little tight and needed to navigate over some rock shelves. Steep ups and downs (20-23% grades) with several blind corners, nothing super off-camber or anything though. Made it through very comfortably in the Bronco with 35s, but anything less then that is probably going to scrape in some places. Fun trail.
