The last part of this trail has been fenced of by DoD. A barbwire fence was put up in March according to OnX recent imagery. I also saw some people working on the fence while out there. Unsure why it's up at this point though. According to all the maps I researched online, that are the fence is on is BLM land, not DoD. It's sad because I was looking forward to seeing the caves and petroglyphs. The first part of the trail it nice though. Thick mud in spots, lots of wildlife to see and good cruising on a dirt bike. The Pony Express station is pretty cool but there is a barbwire fence around it that will need to be open so be prepared for that; bring gloves.
