Bullfrog Reservoir

This fun little loop circles down to the very large Bullfrog Reservoir and then cuts to a much smaller one with some interesting artifacts of ranching days gone by. There's a newer corral near the smaller tank. In the winter, the smaller tank is frozen, contrasting with the barren desert around. Watch for cattle on this open-range land, especially if you find yourself traveling at night. Black cows are almost impossible to see after dark. There are playful small birds that seem to appear out of nowhere, then lead the way as you drive along the trail. Some sandy and rutted sections offer evidence of impassable conditions when wet.
