Trail Overview

Tucked in the South-West corner of Reno, Blue Truck Fork is a great way to get out of the city and escape to some nearby nature. This trail offers some great sights of the surrounding mountains and a view of Reno higher up the trail. This is especially so once the sun sets and the city lights up. More technical sections run adjacent to Blue Truck Fork for those of you wanting a challenge. There is plenty of dispersed camping along with more trees in the higher elevations.

Overall easy trail with some rocky spots. There are a couple alternate routes you can take that get bouldery and a little steeper if you wanna go beyond the level 4 trail. Water crossing were shallow and easy. There are some tight areas on single lane along the edge of the slope that make passing a challenge but backing up the one time we needed was easy. Stock off road vehicles should have no problem exploring this whole area.
