Trail Overview

The route is made up of gravel and loose rock. The route climbs from 2600'-5800' along the Lolo Forest and some private land. There are many sharp turns with steep embankments along the route. Offline Maps will be needed to navigate some parts of the route. The route has both single and two-lane parts to pass other vehicles. Very scenic areas pass by while driving the route.

Difficulty

There are many sharp corners with steep embankments along the route. Dust can be a problem in dry conditions. Some parts of the route could be narrow to pass on.

The trail from Pardee Creek (97) to Trail 7866 was wide open with a few mud holes. Where Trail 97 & 389 joined just two miles East on 97 trees were still down and stopped any forward progress from the intersection of Trail 389 & 97. You'll have to turn back or bring a saw with you.
