Trail Overview

Sixmile Creed Road is a very scenic out and back gravel road that becomes less maintained the further back you discover. The entrance can be found off Dailey Lake Road. From the entrance it is 4.2 miles to the end and gains 725ft in elevation. It can all be done in a 2WD vehicle with decent ground clearance but 4x4 and low range is recommended for descending due to steep grades. When scouting this trail we came across a Subaru outback that was descending from the trailhead. When traversing this trail be aware of private property at the entrance and sections along Sixmile Creek. Several dispersed campsites can be found along the route and at the end of the trail. There is a gate limiting winter access at Gold Prize Creek Road. The end of the trail gains access to trailheads for the South Fork Sixmile Trail 61 that reaches the Upper Sixmile Tie 601 and North Fork Sixmile Trail 606 in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area near Monitor Peak at 10,394ft.
