Trail Overview
Piquet Creek Part 1 starts just off the highway with a bridge that marks the beginning of the trail. The first four miles are very smooth with occasional small potholes and almost no washboards or rocks. The trail is wide enough for two full-size vehicles, and aside from some mild turns, you can cruise comfortably. Watch for oncoming traffic along the way. The trail follows a ravine the entire time and ends at a large pullout where you can turn around or continue onto Part Two of this trail, which is much more narrow and difficult. Full-width vehicles should avoid continuing to Part 2 if they want to prevent heavy pin striping. Piquett Creek Part 1 is open year-round. Part 2 is not open year-round.
Difficulty
This trail is extremely easy. It is smooth, wide, flat, has no obstacles, and is fairly short. This trail is open year-round and would actually be a decent trail to do some relatively easy snow wheeling. The continuation of this trail after the end is much narrower and very overgrown with vegetation. If you attempt it in a full-width vehicle, you will receive some heavy pinstriping.
