Trail Overview

This trail is accessed from Tomahawk Spur E and quickly narrows, beginning with a steep, rocky climb. A creek runs alongside parts of the route, and several branches and overgrowth are encroaching on the trail, making it appear wider than it actually is. In places, the edge of the trail drops off toward the creek, so it’s important to drive carefully to avoid slipping off the side. The terrain includes a series of rocky, narrow ascents and descents that require steady control and attention. After the final rocky climb, the trail transitions onto a built gravel road. This section includes steep grades, sharp turns, and steep drop-offs, and should be approached with caution, especially in wet or loose conditions. There are no formal campsites along the way, and the route lacks any amenities such as trash bins, water sources, or restrooms. Cell phone reception may be weak or unavailable for much of the trail.
