Trail Overview
Shoepack Lake Spur C begins as a relatively wide single-lane dirt and rock route with grass growing between the tracks. The trail has frequent undulations, loose rock, water ruts, and occasional fallen trees. Farther along, vegetation becomes increasingly close to the vehicle, with larger rocks, mud holes, and off-camber sections requiring slower travel. Rocks generally range from 4–6 inches, with some larger obstacles around 10 inches. Several existing areas appear suitable for dispersed camping, although logging activity was observed nearby and conditions may change. The trail becomes increasingly overgrown and tight toward the end, with vegetation contacting full-width vehicles. A fallen tree ultimately blocks the route.
Difficulty
The trail has moderate rocky, muddy, and off-camber sections combined with increasingly tight vegetation. Most obstacles are manageable with appropriate clearance and careful driving, but larger rocks, mud holes, and a blocked section require caution.
