Trail Overview
This trail is accessed directly from a paved highway and leads to the Bemis Recreation Area. The route begins by passing through a forested section before opening into a stretch of wetland and scrub, offering scenic views, and then reentering the forest further along. A single residence is located close to the starting point near the paved road. The trail is mostly straight and alternates between single-vehicle and two-vehicle widths. Its surface is gravel, with numerous wet puddles and potholes along the way. For a considerable distance, a creek runs beside the trail, adding to the landscape but also creating wet conditions in some areas. Caution is advised due to the possibility of encountering local traffic, as well as ATV and side-by-side riders who use the route. The trail offers no dispersed or formal campsites and lacks amenities such as trash disposal and a water supply. Cell service may be limited.
Difficulty
This forest trail is well-maintained and used daily by residents and adventurers. The route is wide and clear of debris, with established tread and minimal overgrowth, making it ideal for a smooth and scenic drive.
