Cole Forest Road

Cole Forest Road is a short, scenic trail through the forest and wetlands. The trail is a 1 to 2-vehicle-wide gravel trail. The trail connects to the Krull Trail and the surrounding Carp Pit Recreation area. From the east end, the trail is marked by a small sign that only says “Cole”, with a larger sign further in and at the west entrance. Watch for OHV and ATV riders in the area using the Carp Pit recreation area. The road is a cooperative project between the Ruffed Grouse Society, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, and the Minnesota DNR. It's easily reachable from Roosevelt.
