Trail Overview
This trail extends as a long, well-maintained gravel route. It crosses an active railroad line at a designated crossing, followed shortly by an intersection with a paved road. In some areas, the surface shows corrugation, but overall it remains smooth and easy to follow. The trail is straight and flat for much of its length, passing through open fields typical of the Midwest. Along the way, it passes farms and several residences, so caution is advised for local traffic and children playing near the road. The route eventually transitions into forested terrain, adding a scenic element after the more open stretch. No side trails are branching from the main path. The trail does not offer dispersed or formal camping opportunities and lacks amenities such as trash disposal and a water supply. Cell service may be limited in certain areas, so preparation is recommended.
Difficulty
This forest trail is well-maintained and used daily by residents and adventurers. The route is wide and clear of debris, with established tread and minimal overgrowth, making it ideal for a smooth and scenic drive.
