Trail Overview
This scenic trail is accessed from Sheep Ranch Road and follows a well-maintained gravel surface that is generally wide enough for two vehicles. It winds through forested terrain and offers a peaceful drive, although it is a popular route for ATV riders, so caution is recommended. While the trail is mostly smooth, some sections become narrower and somewhat bumpy, particularly in areas where maintenance is less frequent. Several overgrown and unnamed trails branch off from the main route. Some of these appear to lead to private residences, while others are unused and difficult to follow. Toward the top end of the trail, the route splits, with one branch continuing and another connecting to a designated snowmobile trail. Although the surrounding area is inviting, the trail itself does not provide any formal or dispersed camping options. It also lacks basic amenities such as trash disposal and potable water. Cell phone service may be unreliable in certain sections of the trail.
Difficulty
The trail is maintained but can develop light overgrowth between trims, especially in the summer months. Commonly used by local OHV traffic, the path remains visible and passable, though branches and low brush may occasionally encroach.
