Trail Overview
FS 7501 is a bidirectional trail within the Manistee National Forest. Located near Highway M-37 & Caberfae Peaks Ski & Golf Resort, this trail is easily accessible. Most of the trail is a combination of sand, dirt, and leaves. Starting out from the western end, you'll begin at the bottom of a hill in a dense section of the forest. When you make it to the top of the hill, you'll be able to see the clear-cut in the forest that's worth checking out. As you continue, the trail ascends in elevation and begins to get narrow as this portion of the forest has a lot of overgrowth. You may also encounter some rutted muddy sections. These aren't major but still noteworthy. Just like anywhere on these beautiful lands, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails! DO NOT DUMP AND LEAVE NO TRACE BEHIND! Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. The eastern end of this trail finishes at a T with FS 5625. Although this trail is not difficult, it still offers great views of the forest and access to other awesome trails in this area! Regardless of the length, difficulty, or conditions, this is a fantastic trail to check out!
