Trail Overview
E 26-1/4 Trail is a wildly scenic 1.8-mile bidirectional trail within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Located between 28 3/4 Road and 26 1/4 it is easily accessible. This trail surface consists mostly of a sand/dirt combination. This route will surely keep you on your toes between the sandy berms, ruts, and views; it is definitely one not to miss! Some of those ruts I'm sure can get pretty deep and muddy at certain times, so just be mindful if you are not with anyone else and/or don't have any sort of recovery gear. PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails! Keep your eyes open for wildlife on your way down the trail! This trail will surely keep you entertained. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come Prepared! Keep in mind that there are a few sections that this trail crosses with a trail that is open to those 50 inches in width or less. Towards the end, you'll also come across a little off-camber section with a pretty interesting washout. Regardless of the conditions or length of this trail, it's an awesome route to check out!
