Trail Overview
Devils CR Spur navigates from its intersection with County Road 366 to its intersection with Devils CR Trail. This moderate two-track dirt trail will test the traction as well as the articulation of smaller and less capable vehicles. There are many holes and low spots across this trail. Most of which are laid out in a way that allows a vehicle's suspension to really flex out. Small crossovers and low-travel independent-suspension vehicles are likely to 3-wheel depending on the line chosen. These holes can also fill with water in wet periods, creating mud holes and water spots. This is a scenic trail that navigates along the base of a large hillside. This leads to excellent views of color in the fall months. Sightlines on this trail are excellent thanks to the lack of undergrowth in the surrounding forest. Cell service in this area is very spotty, and traveling with downloaded maps is recommended.
Difficulty
This trail is easily completable by any vehicle with a moderate AWD or 4X4 system. More attention will need to be given to the line chosen in less capable vehicles when traversing the section of the trail with holes and ruts. Any large SUV, Truck, SxS, or ATV will have no problem completing this trail. The average depth of these holes is 6-12 inches. Water depth is also in that range. Debris on this trail is very possible after a large storm, as the large hillside can allow for objects to get pushed onto the trail.
