Trail Overview

Deer-Plagany Connector Trail is an incredible bidirectional trail within the Traverse City Management Unit. Located between Plagany-Deer Trail and 3rd Creek Trail, this trail is easily accessible along your epic journey. Most of this connector trail is a combination of dirt and sand. Starting out, you'll begin in a dense portion of the forest with quite a bit of overgrowth along the trail. As you continue, the trail makes a turn, and the second half has tons of overgrowth sections as well. This is such a beautiful trail and gives tons of scenery that you don't want to miss. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. When you are finished with this trail, head to the next one and continue your adventure! As always, PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails!
