Deer Road Trail

Deer-Plagany Connector Trail is an incredible bidirectional trail within the Traverse City Management Unit. Located between Plagany-Deer Trail and 3rd Creek Trail, this trail is easily accessible along your epic journey. Most of this connector trail is a combination of dirt and sand. Starting out, you'll begin in a dense portion of the forest with quite a bit of overgrowth along the trail. As you continue, the trail makes a turn, and the second half has tons of overgrowth sections as well. This is such a beautiful trail and gives tons of scenery that you don't want to miss. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. When you are finished with this trail, head to the next one and continue your adventure!
