Trail Overview

This trail starts out on the ridge and drops down a steep incline and down the trail into several creek crossings. Then around sweeping turns to an uphill path. There are some abandoned buildings at the top of the next ridge. It is a great road washed out from some of the rain and it has awesome vistas to enjoy

The trail is a two when dry. I was in two wheel drive most of the time. It wasn't very challenging but it was a nice day so not a total loss. The overlooks in the forest are worth visiting, though none are on this trail.

We entered the trail from Green ridge road and finished out @ Md 51. Recent snow has melted, leaving muddy condition and lits of pools of water. Enjoyed this trail as it was primarily dirt and rock, great views with varying drops in terrain and elevation.

My wife and I hit this trail last weekend and it was pretty easy driving with a couple of small rock steps and climbs. On a side note, if you find a front skid plate, I would sure like to get it back.

Visited this trail again today, it had rained yesterday but the trail was mostly dry by today. I stand by my earlier report that this trail is no where near a 4 difficulty. Keifer Rd in the south is a 1, and Kirk Rd in the north is a 2. Attached is a picture of the roughest part of the whole trail. This is at the most northern part of the trail where Kirk Rd connects to Green Ridge Rd. Most stock vehicles should have no problem with this trail.

No longer any tree obstructions as previously noted. Trail was clear with some overgrowth on sides and potential for brush touching. Few puddles and muddy spots remain despite dry conditions last few weeks. They were fun, but limited in size. Not much more than a 2 difficulty in any spot on the trail.
