Trail Overview
Trail 2305 is a black trail located within the Potomac River Riding Area of Wolf Den Run State Park. Trail 2305 has a very steep ledge at the eastern end that is caused by washouts and rutting on Trail 2301. Potomac River is the southernmost of the three riding areas at Wolf Den Run. Potomac River has a good mix of green and blue, and black trails. It also has a slag pile playground. There are also a few narrow-width trails specifically just for SxS, ATV, and motorcycles to choose from. The cell reception in this park is suspect. There will be times when you will not have coverage.
Difficulty
Trail 2305 is primarily an ungraded dirt road. It is a narrow, rocky, and heavily rutted ride in the summer months, however during times of heavy rain, snow, and ice the road will become severely rutted and much harder to travel on. There are areas of deep heavy mud and deep standing water that are over your axles. The east end of trail 2305 is a steep ledge coming off of trail 2301 dues to a washout and rutting.
