Trail Overview
This trail is heavily overgrown and feels more like a hidden path than a traveled route. Tall grass covers most of the track, and low-hanging branches close in from both sides, creating a tunnel effect that can be tough on taller vehicles. The brush is thick, with limbs and twigs constantly brushing against your rig, so expect plenty of pinstripes if you continue through. Despite the vegetation, the trail itself is relatively flat with no major obstacles, ruts, or climbs to worry about. It’s more of a clearance and visibility challenge than a technical one, best suited for smaller rigs or drivers who don’t mind some scratches.
Difficulty
This trail is easy in terms of terrain. Drivers won’t face technical obstacles, steep climbs, or deep ruts, but tall grass and low-hanging branches can limit visibility and cause scratches along the sides of taller vehicles. The narrow path requires careful navigation to avoid brush and limbs, making it more about patience and vehicle clearance than skill. Suitable for stock 4x4s, but those concerned about body damage or paint should proceed cautiously.
History
This park was formerly known as Sandy Bottoms, and longtime visitors may still refer to it by that name. The access road and staging area have evolved over time, but it remains a well-known local spot for off-road events and community rides.
