South Lakeview Mountain - FS 1355

This is a dirt-based forest road in the National Forest that runs up to a section of private property near Lakeview Mountain. The trail has some two-track areas and a mixture of gravel and rock, the further you go. You will traverse some rock garden sections that are bumpy and have large boulders sticking out of the ground, with one steep area of rock garden. There are minor ruts and wash along the trail, but any vehicle type could traverse this trail with little issue. The trail offers dense forest views; however, the name is deceiving, as there is no view of the lake. Camping is allowed along this entire route. There are no amenities on the trail, and cell phone service was weak. The nearest services and supplies are approximately 10-15 minutes away in Priest Lake, Idaho.
