West Skip - FS 1342

West Skip (FS 1342) is a 0.7-mile out-and-back route through Kaniksu National Forest. This single-lane silty road begins with a steep, loose, sustained climb that includes a few narrow shelf-road sections. The road becomes increasingly overgrown farther up, with some very narrow sections that are not recommended for full-size vehicles. While a full-size rig can make the initial climb, smaller vehicles are better suited to the upper portion. The route ends where heavy overgrowth makes further vehicle travel impassable. West Skip is open to all vehicles.
