Trail Overview

The trail begins past the bridge of the South Fork of the Boise Middle Fork River. You get a good view of the Roaring River below in the gorge at the start. There are a few dispersed campsites along the way before reaching the trailhead that leads you to Trinity Lakes if you're interested in hiking in the area. The trail is in very good condition, although there are a few rutted spots at the beginning. This trail doesn't require a 4x4 vehicle, but should be driven with at least AWD and clearance. You get beautiful views along the way, and the trail ends at the fork leading to Trinity Lakes, via Trinity Lake Road, or to Featherville through Rocky Bar. I recommend visiting in August during the summer, as the trail may still be inaccessible due to fallen trees.
