Trail Overview

This trail starts as gravel-based but then transitions to dirt as it climbs. The trail climbs nearly 2,300 feet in elevation over 13.1 miles and takes you up to Pyramid Pass, where there are many other trails to explore. The road becomes a narrow, one-lane shelf road after transitioning to dirt with multiple switchbacks and ledges with long drop-offs. The view from this trail is one of the best in the area, offering panoramic views of the peaks and ridges around, as well as a view of the valley below. Camping is allowed along this trail, and there are many dispersed camping areas along the way. Cell phone service was weak but enough to send a message, and there are no amenities along the trail.
