Trail Overview

This is a gravel-based forest road in the national forest that runs alongside Indian Creek for a good way. The trail gradually climbs 1,400 feet, then drops 1,200 feet over 11.2 miles. The trail is wide enough for two vehicles in most places and has multiple switchbacks. Along the trail, you will encounter some washboard and only minor ruts and wash, making this trail suitable for any vehicle type. You will have dense forest views and views of the flowing creek, and there are some split-off trails to explore as well. This trail takes you to the main Highway that leads into Priest Lake, Idaho, which is the closest services and supplies, approximately 15 miles from the end of the trail. Cell phone service was weak but enough to send a message here and there, and there are no amenities on the trail, so travel prepared.
