Trail Overview

This is a dirt-based forest road in the National Forest that forms a loop from one end of the Tango Creek Trail to the other. The trail is narrow and one lane wide, and travels behind and around Watson Mountain. You will have views of Watson Mountain and the surrounding ridges on a clear day. Some rock garden sections are a little bumpy, with minor ruts and wash. The trail has multiple switchbacks and is shelf-like in some areas with ledges and drop-offs. Any vehicle could traverse this trail, but it becomes very slick when it's wet. Cell phone service was weak, and there are no amenities along the trail, so you will need to travel prepared. Camping is allowed along this entire route, and from this trail, you are over 35 minutes' drive from the nearest services and supplies.
