Trail Overview
West Brush Creek is a 5-mile-long Forest Service Road located outside of Crested Butte, Colorado. This road offers access to hiking and biking trails, as well as camping areas in a gorgeous valley. This road takes you back towards Teocalli Mountain, up a valley, along and through rivers. It's a beautiful drive that offers small sections of rocky obstacles, river crossings, and incredible views. There are eight campsites along this road, all of them first-come, first-served. You can only camp in designated campsites on this route.
Difficulty
This road will require some clearance and knowledge in picking lines. Skid plates will be favorable if you don't quite have the clearance for some of the rocky sections that come about halfway through the road. You will come across a section where you have to drive up the river for a small portion. This part is really fun, but it is tight trees, and in the springtime the water may be too high for many rigs. There are deep ruts and sections that will flex your suspension a bit.
