Trail Overview

This road serves as the primary corridor connecting many of the trails and recreation areas throughout the greater Taylor Park Reservoir region. Following the Taylor River through a broad mountain valley, it offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, forests, and alpine landscapes for nearly its entire length. The road provides access to a large number of dispersed campsites, many of which can be reached directly from the main route without requiring travel on more difficult roads. Because of its convenient access, scenic setting, and proximity to popular trails, fishing spots, and off-road routes, it is one of the most heavily traveled roads in the area. Visitors should expect increased traffic during summer weekends, and campsites can fill quickly during peak recreation periods.
