Trail Overview

This trail is mainly used to get to Torrey's Peak and Gray's Peak trailheads. Most of it is dirt with small rocks, and could be done in a small car, but as you get further up, it begins to get rough. A few deep ruts would require at least some clearance or very skilled driving by smaller vehicles, and past the trailhead parking areas it becomes quite a bit rougher. Should be manageable by most stock SUVs though. Wet conditions would add to the difficulty for small vehicles. There is a lot of private land bordering the road, so stay on trail.

Difficulty

Dry conditions would allow almost all vehicles up at least half or more of the trail. But as you get further up, the conditions worsen and it would be enough to require higher clearance. All wheel or 4WD would help, but may not be required.
