Trail Overview

Located just off the Kendall Mountain Trail, San Juan 33 offers a different perspective of the mountain as an out-and-back trail. This trail weaves through sections of beautiful Aspen groves, providing a serene and picturesque experience that will leave you breathless. Difficulty

Despite having to take most of Kendall Mountain to get this trail this one offers mellow grades. There are a few water crossings with the one at the end being the deepest one. There is a change in elevation of roughly 980 feet throughout the whole trail. Parts of the trail are located within The Alpine Tundra so please remember the tread lightly principles.

Can make it all the way to the mine. There is a part that is steep and icy but if you hug the edge you can keep one set of tires out of the ice and actually get traction.
