Trail Overview
Embarking on the journey along this rugged trail will eventually bring you to the long-abandoned Montana Mine. This path winds through the brush and rocky terrain. As you make your way, you'll encounter breathtaking views and perhaps even some local wildlife, making the trek as rewarding as it is demanding. This journey is not just about reaching the destination;it's about appreciating the history and natural beauty along the way. So lace up your boots, pack your essentials, and let the trail lead you to a piece of Colorado's storied past.
Difficulty
This trail has slightly overgrown brush throughout it, do not be surprised if you come out with new scratches. There are a few water crossings as well of up to 18" deep. As you get closer to the mine the trail becomes more technical in the sense that you will be paying attention to tire placement to avoid getting hung up if you are not in a high clearance 4X4.
