Trail Overview

This trail starts with a steep climb with two options: the left is dirt that has been washed out/dug out, and the right is rocky, but both can be navigated in a stock 4x4. The trail continues with several sections of exposed bedrock where tire placement is important, and skid plates would be beneficial if you don't have added ground clearance. As you continue down a dirt two-track, you will come to "The Notch," named for the rocks you enter between as you climb up to the top of a ridge. The rest of the loop is a rough dirt road through the trees back to the main trail.

Difficulty

The main obstacles are sections of exposed bedrock. The rock creates uneven terrain with short ledges and semi-steep grades. Proper tire placement reduces most of the challenges on this trail.

Pretty much like the trail description. We did two loops, south loop (FS247) and north loop (FS122). Really fun.
