Trail Overview

Spice up your scenic drive over Tincup Pass by taking this hard "shortcut". This short section is narrow and steep with loose rock. There is a small boulder section with big rocks that allow several different lines. Crossing Water makes tires wet. 35-inch Tires and Lockers are recommended for the hardest lines.

This detour is not for the faint of heart. Expect extremely steep ledges boulders up to 3 feet tall narrow roads that will pinstripe a full-size rig. For this trail 35 inch tires and lockers with skid plates are a must. However, I did make it up with my Tacoma with a limited slip differential and 33 inch tires loaded down with 4 people. Not without extreme difficulty and rock stacking however. This detour is better suited for heavily modified rigs
