Difficulty

Moderate. The beginning of the trail has a steep climb with one rocky section on a tight turn that requires some offroad experience. We recommend high-clearance, short-wheel-based 4x4s with skid plates for the start of the trail. The road to the quarry at Waypoint 03 is wide and easy.

Dusty dusty dusty! The two obstacles were a breeze in 4 low with my modified 4Runner on 34’s. Lots of fun though and you will encounter some point striping. Beautiful day to be out on the trial.

Trail was dry and rocky with some tight spots through downed trees (all cleared). Eastern mile or so is steep and rocky with a few rock ledge obstacles less than 2ft tall. Definitely the more technical side. Western strech was much easier, but still full of rock fields. Traversed in a Rubicon Wrangler with 35s. No diff strikes or scrapes. Only used lockers in the technical eastern part, 4H elsewhere.

Trail was dry and in good condition. This trail has one or two minor challenges in it, but there are b-lines for stock 4x4s. Great views and pretty fall colors.

Glad I warmed up the bike with a quick rip up the road before starting. Trail starts off right away with a steep hill climb and didn’t seem too loose on the way up. About halfway up, there is one technical section with a steep rock, not much room to go around. Momentum is your friend. The rest of the trail was pretty easy. Some deep rutted sections. Beautiful lookout. The way back down seemed a lot more loose compared to the way up. Few other dirt bikes, few jeeps, and a few side by sides.

Was a little busier which makes bypassing difficult at the start of the trail since it is so tight.

No issues at all. Just smokey out from fires out of state. Saw a couple guys on dirt bikes but a fun trail to get up top.

The challenging portions of the trail are in the first half mile and then it’s easy after that. It starts with a moderate hill climb until you come to a fairly steep rock ledge with no bypass. I was in a wrangler jk on 33’s with 3” lift and rear locker and it took a couple try’s to get over it. High clearance or a willingness to take undercarriage damage is a must. There was a guy behind me in a stock Tacoma that decided to turn back. Not far after the first ledge is a second, smaller ledge and then the rest of the trail is a breeze. If you want to see the quarry it’s on an offshoot of the main trail midway through.

In the beginning of the trail there are two rocky sections where you will need high clearance 4x4. Very scenic trail
