Arrived to a locked gate about 2 miles off the highway. Couldn't find another way to the trail. Sign said PP.

Beautiful views, didn’t need to use 4WD until more than half way up the trail, stayed in 2WD for most of the trial. Did have to use 4WL coming back down the mountain.

Road is generally pretty easy but gets harder the further you go up. I turned around right before you hit the clearing because the road just got too rough. Found a good camping spot but they’re are only a couple to choose from.

easy, beautiful trail. stunning views of the fall colors right now overlooking twin lakes, Mt Elbert, and the collegiate peaks. Very easy (2-3) up until the world's most scenic porta potty. after that there are some bigger rocks requiring high clearance which will take you to the columbine mine ruins. the road keeps going past what onx has to the clear creek reservoir outlook. This section merits a 4. If you go West of the columbine mine (off the onx trail) it gets very rough meriting a 6 with a long loose steep climb with large boulders and no spot to turn around. great views up there and all around. would highly recommend

Nice easy trail that heads up to some great views. We started around 9:15 and by the time we were headed down there was quite a bit of cyclist coming up. They aren’t the friendliest…..

This trail is mostly a gravel/dirt road but goes through some excellent stands of aspen trees. Colors were amazing and it has some excellent views. Upper sections of trail are harder but not difficult. Good trail recommended during fall.

Great trail and stunning once you get above tree line. A lot of mountain bikers but not a lot of vehicles. Great trail and great view!
